More on Parables

¨At that time the righteous ones will shine as brightly as the sun in the kingdom of their Father.  Let him that has ears listen.¨ Matthew 13:43 (Reference Bible)

There is a fear that comes from throwing out accusations of our failures to completely understand the scriptures or spiritual things.  For sure there are many well educated theologians out there whose knowledge far exceeds any words they may find in this blog.

Rest assured that no intention is made here towards any superiority of either knowledge or experience.  However, for the sake of directing ourselves more fully towards Christ and more dependent upon Him, we would like to take any chance we have available to remove self, the world, fallen human reason and tricks the Devil may still play upon us.

We would not like to rob anyone from the achievements they have made in their own walk with the Lord nor the closeness that they may share.  But if God would be our ALL, then we must hold all things back up to Him.

Therefore, until that day when our eyes are opened and we see clearly the angels ascending and descending from the throne, we will keep on looking.  Until we can hear the heavenly choirs singing their sweet and overwhelming praises to God with our own ears, we will press forward to hear.  Until that day when our hearts are bursting out at the seams because they cannot contain all the wonder of the Great Holy Spirit which is flooding into, through and out of, we will not refrain from yearning towards that day.

Please Dear Lord, come upon us in a remarkable way today.  Leave us undone, as if our own crosses have finished their deadly work, so that we are available to be restored in You.  We may not yet hear that glorious choir which sings its praises to You without end, but we strain to hear it through our earthly limitations.  We still do not see through the scales on our eyes all the wondrous and mysterious workings of the spirits and angels all around, but we set our eyes on You with the hope of clarifying our vision.  There is a burning within that with Your help, may become a raging fire burning to be filled by none other than Your presence.  Until that day, when all of these things come to pass, give us the strength to listen harder, seek deeper, yearn more and lean more upon You.

Let us life all this up as offering to You that Your name is lifter ever higher,

And to God be the glory,
