Proving Jesus Is Christ

Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ.  Acts9:22 (NIV)

He is a changed man.  He has come to know Jesus.  This is not a figure of speech.  It is not a convenient expression.  This man has been confronted by our Lord.  When that Brilliance flashes over him he is blinded.  He goes days without seeing.  He cannot eat or drink until he is baptized into faith.  He can only pray until he is restored and set free to speak of his encounter.  The result leaves others baffled.  Nobody can refute him or his experience.  He is living proof that Christ Is the Son of God!  Are we?

Where were we before we met Jesus?  Can we remember the day our eyes were opened?  How long did we wait until we could see?  How long did we have to stay on our knees and pray?  How long were we fasting before we were miraculously healed?  If we cannot remember, then perhaps we are still awaiting our encounter?  If our lives have not been marked, changed, or touched, then maybe we need to go back to our knees.  Should we put ourselves to the task of prayer?  Should we stay there until the scales are removed from our eyes?  What will it take for us to become proof that Jesus Is the Christ?  Can we still make enough of our faith to even try?

Dear Jesus,

Stop us in our tracks!  Flash across our awareness!  Blind us with Your Brilliance!  Mark us, afflict us, and forever change us by our experience with You!  Let the whole world see and know that You are Christ!  Let them see the proof in us!

Amen
