Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 1st Corinthians 13:4 NIV
The woman is a miracle. She is a blessing. She never thinks of herself. She gives and gives, and then she gives a little more. She works from sun up until long after the sun goes down. She gives of herself for the sake of others. She goes to any length to take care of those around her. She cooks, cleans, teaches and chides as needed so that her beloved will be well in this life. She does her best to portray the love of God in all she does and to direct the hearts of those in her care ever towards the Lord. She is a wife. She is a mother.
From the example of a mother, one can see love. It is patient, kind, void of envy, and humble. It is a multitude of things that bring all good things to the one to whom the love is given. It is many times given at great cost to the one who holds it. But while the love of a mother is truly something to wonder about, it is not the best portrayal of love. Those who care to look at God will see the mother´s love magnified to universal proportions. Those who bow at God´s feet can contemplate a love that encompasses generations and the entire race. To top it off, the recipients are mostly undeserving and ungrateful. Who feels the need to call mother and return to her some much-deserved love? Who is aching to turn to God and get lost in His embrace?
Dear Lord,
There are no sufficient words to thank You for Your love. Just please, help us return Your love unto You now, we pray!
Amen
