The world around us roars on. The crazy pace increases as we each seek to win our goals and success. We chase our dreams of a comfortable living and recognition. For generations, our teachers have taught us that the things we shoot for can be ours if we want them enough. Society itself steadily changes to center our world more and more upon ourselves.
The times when worshipping God was valued in people´s lives have gone. Now we spend less time and put less emphasis there. Family ties and loyalty used to be things we taught our children to preserve and cherish. But now, sadly, it is our own desires, our own tastes, and our own well-being that we lift higher. Against the tide and alone in this chaos stands the repentant Christian. We have heard a still, small voice speaking to us from deep within. It cries out to us of God above. This haunting voice of the Spirit talks to us of an unfathomable love. Hearts that respond to this love feel a pull to Him like moths to the light.
We come to the Son of God for the love we have found in Him. To Christ, we bow because He alone can bring us into our real family. Our hearts cling to these truths while the world rages against us. God´s tender care and all His promised blessings wait for those who hear and let their hearts go out to Him. Let us pray that we choose to seek Him today!
