The Leaning Of Our Hearts

Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God. Psalm 7:9

Some people are so simple and down-to-earth that you have to love them. They do not build up an image for others to see. They are who they are. If our hearts go out to this kind of people, imagine how our Father in Heaven feels about them. Many passages in the Bible tell us in plain language that this is how God likes His children to be. We should strive to be simple, devoted, and genuine.

Sadly though, so many of us often do try to hide ourselves. We attempt to show only our better qualities. We try to convince ourselves of our worth when the Lord only asks us to be ourselves. Our worthiness lies in transparency. We should remember that any soul that reaches out to God touches His. Any heart that would mingle with Christ until it feels for things as God feels is purified and cherished by Him. If it humbles us to think that the Lord is searching our hearts, we are stepping in the right direction. If it pleases us to know He sees where our hearts are leaning, we are getting closer to Him. He is looking for genuine souls that look to Him! Let those souls be ours!

Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; their minds and hearts are searched by the righteous God.  Psalm 7:9 (WEB)
