One moment we are stuck, powerless. We sink helplessly in the mud of life. The next moment, God shows us. In an instant, He moves. Everything changes. Where God is at work, hearts will be amazed. He picks us up. The Lord sets us upon the highest mountains. He gives us a firm place to stand.
Every Christian has heard the stories of people in trouble, and God rescued them. But the firm place to stand that God offers is not some temporary strength we find when He gets us out of trouble. The Rock that God gives us to stand on is His Son, the Mighty Conqueror.
Our miracle happens when our feet touch down on that Solid Rock. When we finally are lifted to a place where we can stand with our Savior, we have found our strength for all time. Jesus is the one to be with. When we stand on Him, we have it all. We will have His guidance, help, and purpose. The winds and waves of our times will not toss us here or there. We will be right where we need to be, by His side.
