A Right Spirit Within

It is one of the first things we do when we come to believe in Christ. We set out to refine our lives. It is wholesome and good. But how we go about it will make all the difference in the world.

If we are not careful, we could bury ourselves in a flurry of activity. Cutting this out, we quickly paste something else in. Long lists of dos and don´t will fill our day. Plenty of influences will be ready and waiting to channel us in the way to go.

Meanwhile, the One we came to believe in is still here. Our Savior hasn´t left us. It is us who charge off on our missions.

If we are serious, we will not lose focus on ending up with Christ. But often, we take years before returning to seek the right spirit. We need Him, not just His name. We need our God with us every step of the way. We need the Spirit of God way before we tamper with anything else.

So, let us get our focus straight. Let us take steps closer to Christ each day. Develop a walk with Him that keeps us near always. If our relationship grows strong enough, His likeness will radiate through us. If we spend enough time with Him, His Spirit will move in us.
