When our troubles overcome us, peace seems so far. Yet as bad as it can get, part of us knows it doesn´t have to be this way. Pains come to every human alive. What hurts and how it hurts will always change, but nobody is invincible. A cure exists for those who look for it. Many will stop short of looking. But it is there whether they choose despair over hope. God is there.
Many churches have taken up the call. Some use it to increase their numbers. That does not change the fact that our Loving God stands nearby, waiting for us to come. Souls can come into contact with Him.
Much more than an emotional high touching us through the right sentiment or song. It means that for those open to it, the Divine can move. The Holy Spirit can stir. Hearts can be overwhelmed as they realize they are in the presence of the Lord.
Not only will the Lord allow His presence to be felt by those who will seek Him. But He will also communicate with us. God speaks. He has forever spoken and will, forever. It takes devotion, dedication, and perseverance. But we can have our souls fed and instructed daily. Who will take steps to get that close to God today?
