What Can Flesh Do To Me?

In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me? Psalm 56:4

Oh, how it hurts! The lash of hurtful words can slice deep and ache as few injuries can. When others want us to suffer, it is sure to take its toll. There is a series of responses we can have. We could retaliate. We could feel sorry for ourselves. We could run and hide, drown our sorrows, or seek the help of others. Or, we could look much higher.

It is becoming far less popular to advocate belief in an Unseen God. But regardless of how ludicrous it sounds some have met Him. Some humble souls placed themselves far enough into His hands. And He revealed Himself to them. They are a peculiar people. They too will feel the abuse others hit them with. But they won´t care.

When a person has ignored the doubts and opposition, they can step closer than the rest. When souls go the distance to seek and find the Lord, they testify to the wonder that overcomes us. Bowing in the presence of the Almighty will leave you breathless and shaking. Yet these bold souls go there willing to be undone. When awareness sweeps us off our feet and we gaze in awe upon our God, we will never fear again what man can do to us.
