Two kinds of people walk the face of the earth. Some stand to encounter God, and others won´t. Which ones are we? Do we know? The answer to the question is worth looking further than our first hopeful response. We should not even leave it to a gratifying text to put our doubts at ease. We owe it to our souls to wrestle out our answer directly with the Lord. In the end, Christ will have to say whether He knows us or not when we want to pass into the wedding dinner of the Lamb. (Matthew 25:10-13)
If we are one of those who care, we could be working night and day on our next encounter. Those who do, stand to experience far more than the rest. Many are the testimonies of those who have stood undone in the presence of The Divine. What they see, what they live through, no words can describe. If we must work toward it our whole lives, the moment we step before the throne of God, it will be well worth it. The piercing brightness of Righteousness burns away all impurities. Souls are saved when they find themselves safely in Christ´s arms. Being with Him is worth any effort or sacrifice.
Let us seek our Savior. If we find in us any reluctance or resistance, let us repent. Turn, run to God. Any other direction will not take us closer to Him. In the morning, we will praise the Lord. When all the dust from the battle settles, the dawn will reveal our Conquering King. We could be there to sing His praises. What a glorious day! It is one worth preparing for!
But I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress. Psalm 59:16
