In God Alone

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken. Psalm 62:6

The mighty warrior proudly shouts his victory. That battle fell to him. But if he stays in the fight long enough, there will surely be an arrow or sword with his name on it.

Successful professionals are our warriors of today. Some will gain in commerce, others in politics. We can choose our field and wield whatever weapons we must to gain our victories each day. We can, and we do. There are many differences between people and their situations. But we are all fighting to get something or somewhere. Do we know what we are fighting for? Will we put our trust in our wisdom, power, or fame? Or is there something even higher than ourselves to hope in?

Whatever outcome the battle has, those who hope in the Lord stand to see the victory. The soldier may fall in the field. But soldiers in the service with Christ have their hope set high above this scene. When the dust and smoke settle, they will stand by the One who conquered the grave.

We too, can be left standing by our Savior´s side, when all is said and done. All we need to do now is to choose to enlist with Him. Seek our Lord out now while there is time. Get to know Him well. Learn to walk closely enough that we can follow Him wherever He leads. If God alone is where we choose to be, our story will be one of His success.

He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress. I will not be shaken.  Psalm 62:6 (WEB)
