Chosen To Come Near

What is it that makes a person blessed? Is it because they were born or admitted into a company of people? Would it be due to their loftier actions or higher standards? Or are there people who stand out merely because God has allowed them into His embrace?

We can place the limits wherever we would like. But the most blessed of all who walk the face of the earth will be those who walk close to the Lord. The Savior will pardon those who seek Him. Those who choose first to know God instead of being the smartest in the world will have access to Him. Some people will not stop short with clever interpretations. They will invest all they have into the relationship of their lives.

We call them the chosen. You can say they are the Select. They are God´s children, the remnant, and His bride. If we want to know how it feels to be among the blessed, step out of the parade. Find the lonely places where these souls can seek Him out. Search for God for our very lives, and then we will know what it is like. Come near the Lord. Become His chosen. He waits for some special ones. Let it be us!

Blessed is the one whom you choose and cause to come near, that he may live in your courts. We will be filled with the goodness of your house, your holy temple.  Psalm 65:4 (WEB)
