Man can try to deny God. They can harden their hearts. They can shake their fists at the sky. But for all our big words, we will not have the last say. There is still much we cannot see. There is much more to our existence than we imagine. We cannot fathom it all. Yet God will not be mocked or belittled forever.
As long as we have a breath of air left in us, we can still choose where we stand with God. Each one alive will either want to get to know Him or let their chance slip by.
Fear might not be the popular aspiration. But fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. (Proverbs 1:7 and Proverbs 15:33) Trembling at the thought of the Almighty is a beautiful and safe direction to take. Those who revere Him can set their hope in His saving ability. We can be washed clean and preserved from our fallen natures. But it will only come from a healthy respect for the Divine.
But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another. Psalm 75:7 (WEB)
