Almost without exception, our entire race runs around in the darkness. We cannot see that a spiritual Kingdom lies just beyond our powers of perception. We do not see the Holy Spirit. We cannot envision His angels. We don´t understand the very Powers that hold our tiny planet in orbit and control its turn and velocity. We struggle to see the direction our world is taking. Yet it holds its breath, waiting on the commands of the God who designed and keeps it.
One would think that the Christians alone see what the rest miss. Unfortunately, too few of us stop to consider. Because we do not see into His realms, we walk as if God were not right here with us. We act as if the Lord does not see what is in our hearts. But He does. He knows when our hearts go out to Him or when we focus on our own things.
It is time that we all turn. We could each benefit immensely by looking to the Lord. We could seek Him with greater intensity. We could look for His presence within and all around. If only we placed more importance on bringing God back into our day. His presence would be the foundation and safehold for our race. We could be God´s people, and He could be our God. Right here, today!
