We read in the Bible of beings that can come before the throne of God. But, have we ever contemplated what they are like? People do not seem to doubt that they are there. But they don´t seem to place much significance upon them. Who do we hear making a big deal of them? God holds special consideration for them. They see the Divine in person all the time. That is a privilege that none of us could boast. Any creature or spirit anywhere should envy these Holy Ones. Especially us.
Our Heavenly Father is the Most High. He is the First and the Last. He is the Eternal and the Almighty. All things exist for His good pleasure. We have life through His grace, wisdom, and power. Those who stand near Him must also be increasingly higher beings. They are more righteous and more Holy the closer they are with Him. Angels, for example, are like us in many ways. But for now, they are higher beings in that they see God. They are used to being in His presence. They know Him more fully than we do.
So what good will it do us to contemplate the relation beings have with God the Father? It would bring endless blessings to us if we could get worked up over the matter. We might consider the distance that still stands between God and us. He loves us, we know. But, if we would like to have a better standing with God, we will have to seek it. Those who love Him more are more devoted to Him. Those who could never tear themselves away from the Lord will not wander as much. Those of us who want to see the face of God should be the ones working hardest on our souls. One day, we could be the Holy Ones. But only if the fire inside of us burns hot enough for Him.
