A Heart Of Wisdom

We often think that wisdom is something we cultivate through years of study. But there are more crucial things to consider, and we will not find them out by reading them or heavy thinking. These are the areas in life that have to do with God. We depend upon God for life, redemption, and our eternal futures. So wisdom on these levels we are overshadows any others.

God would have us know how dependent we are upon Him for everything. If we were to step into God´s Kingdom for a moment, we would realize one thing. All the things on this earth we base our knowledge on are primitive and unworthy. To bridge this gap, God saw beforehand that we would need help. He gave us the Scriptures to help. He sent His Son to explain things. But the most beneficial to us now is the Guide He provided who can lead us step-by-step. The Holy Spirit can take us by the hand and whisper to us at every turn. He can teach us the wonders of God.

A heart or soul of wisdom is far better than a brain full of it. If God and His realms are where we would like to be, one of the first things to learn is that time is not helping us. Now is when it is crucial. No tomorrow will be able to help us unless we prepare now. Seek to know the Lord in personal experience. Pray that we can trade the heart we have now for a heart of wisdom.

So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.  Psalm 90:12 (WEB)
