Those who belittle God speak out against Him recklessly. They say He doesn´t exist. Or they say He is too weak to do anything about our situation. Some try to disprove God because of all the evil things that men do. They say He couldn´t be a kind or loving God because He allows bad things to happen. There are many things that these daring souls say when they defy the Almighty. But, considering the weight of the matter, they should not be so hasty.
Man has this propensity to think we are the only beings who think. We get so proud of the fact that we can reason that we imagine we know it all. Yet there is such detailed design to our universe, to our chemical or biological makeup. We owe the credit to someone or something. Christians believe God made all that we see and all that we have yet to discover. Others would make accident, chemistry, or biology out as their creator.
Still, others prefer not to think at all. Or they brush off the subject as quickly as possible. They don´t want to put themselves in a compromising situation. But, whether we think about it or not, we are either honoring God or not. Which side of the coin we stand on is up to us to choose. We hear Heaven and Eternity are reserved for those who choose the Lord. For the hope that stands before us, let us do our best to get to know Him. The God who is powerful and clever enough to make us will surely notice those who do.
