God Is Holy

The concept of what is Holy is under vicious attack from the enemy. Years ago, one could step into a church or cathedral and feel God was near. A hushed Holy fear, caused a sensation of respect and wonder. Slowly but surely, the idea of what is Holy is being made to look mundane, cheap, or never existed.

Fewer people every year in our busy societies have the time or the desire to stop and consider what is Holy. Not many try to imagine finding themselves in the presence of the Divine. We should pray that we do not have the entire sensation of Holiness stolen from us.

If we humbly repent from letting our hearts stray, we can ask for awareness. If the presence of the Almighty can shine through the clouds of deception, we could see again. Pray that God will move and we will realize His nearness, power, and glory. Ask that we may come breathlessly in the presence of the Lord. Pray that what is Holy is not lost to us, and we can fall before the Throne of Grace in bewilderment and awe again!
