When the soul senses the presence of God, it will bubble over with praise. We will want to sing. Singing is a beautiful expression that tells more of us than we often stop to think.
There are many motives for singing. Some could be done with less of ourselves invested in them. But, many outbreaks of praise do result in a song in our hearts. When we sing, we not only give honor to our God, but we let Him know we appreciate Him. Worship could be imposed or done out of a sense of obligation. Yet when we let our Lord know that we have noticed His grace and goodness, it repays those acts of love.
If we are among those who seek God, let our praises ring. The One who loved us enough to suffer to bring us together will love to know we noticed His beauty and gestures of care. Few things are as important as demonstrating that what God does for us is not taken for granted. Let us praise the Lord! Fill us with heartfelt songs of adoration for our Redeemer!
