It might not be what the rest of the world is screaming today. But God bless those who seek the Lord. Nowadays, we praise strong individuals. Using texts, we boost our faith and claim riches with force. Then, we congratulate ourselves. We sit back to enjoy our privileged standing with God. Our confidence tells us our choices have won us every battle and earned us a well-deserved reward. But we are wrong.
Nowhere in the Bible will we find encouragement to want little to do with God. We will not read that what we have now is enough to save us forever. If we think there is no need to look for God, we are lying to ourselves. We must be where He is moving and strive to be right there with Him,
Instead, the Bible challenges us. It throws us upon the mercy of God. The pages point us to Christ. We need our Savior. We are far as long as we are not standing in the brilliant light of His presence. Closer is our cry. Nearer is what hunger and thirst will call for. Want for more of God is the only thing that will push us to take the steps. We cannot afford to sit back comfortably on the rung where we have climbed. At that rate, we will never make it up the ladder and into the presence of the Divine! Seek Him. Seek each day. And pray for wisdom and strength to seek Him more!
Seek Yahweh and his strength. Seek his face forever more. Psalm 105:4
