Save Us

Seek Yahweh and his strength. Seek his face forever more. Psalm 105:4

We love to hear Christian messages that make us look like chosen and blessed individuals. It pleases us to hear how God gives us all the blessings of heaven. We are receivers of all that is good. It is true, but it is not the whole story. The truth is we are a stubborn and wayward people. We have fallen for every sort of distraction and given in to all the things that upset God. We have insulted Him with what we call faith. He must save us from ourselves if He wants a remnant to call His.

Psalm 106 talks of God´s people a long time ago. They saw Him work in mighty ways and heard from Him what He expected. But they slipped up in every way possible. They were supposed to be His children, and He, was meant to be their God. Things have not changed. We are also under that same calling.

It is time we cry with the Psalmist. We should raise our voice to the Lord. We can plead with Him to visit us with His salvation. Much help is needed, so let us set ourselves to the task. Let us ask God to change us from the inside out. Let us ask that new hearts are given to us that will seek Him again. Pray that we drive ourselves harder after our Savior than we are doing now. Ask that we seek God and walk with Him more all the time.

4. Remember me, Yahweh, with the favor that you show to your people. Visit me with your salvation, 5. that I may see the prosperity of your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of your nation, that I may glory with your inheritance.  Psalm 106:4-5
