God Will Bless Those

Because God is like He is, He loves sending blessings. They will fall on big and small alike. His graces will fall on both the good and the bad. Sometimes, it may seem that people who don´t deserve His gifts are the ones who have more than the rest. But it only appears that way. Possessions, easy living, and pleasures cannot compare to what the Lord has in store for some. If knowing God is our desire, many more blessings are reserved for us.

The things that the worldly people seek are those prizes they can get their hands on here and now. These are their idols. They are the things their hearts go out to. Their yearnings are for more riches, better jobs, and a grander name for themselves. They want their earthly lives to be their heaven. Still, some choose to long for blessings from a Source without limits. Even a lifetime here and now, of all we can get our hands on, will pale compared to the eternal blessings we find in the Lord.

The shiny object we desire here will look ridiculous when our eyes can finally gaze on the Father in person. That thrill-seeker´s rush felt today will seem trivial when we hear the hosts of angels sing before God´s throne. Those relationships that meant so much to all who walked the earth will not hold a candle to the Savior´s embrace. It will not matter if we are big or small. The greatest blessings will come to those who set their hearts on nothing short of the Divine!
