The Soul Away Too Long

My soul has had her dwelling too long with him who hates peace. Psalm 120:6

We have lived in this world and our societies for too long. Our eyes have had more than enough time to grow accustomed to our surroundings. We no longer gaze up in wonder and say to God above, “Show us Your Glory.” Some still gather and sing songs together. But when the sounds die down we race back to our busy lives.

It is time for us to stir again. We could stop listening to the voices of our times. Let us strain to witness the movement of God. This world did not happen by accident. There is more at play here than meets the eye. Christians should not be ignorant. Never should we be complacent. Watchful was our Savior´s cry. (Mark 13:23, Luke 12:15, Matthew 24:42)

While the rest will march together to their own hearts desires, let us set ours on the Lord. Let us ask that our ears and eyes will open. Pray that we burn from within for the mysterious work of the Spirit. Ask that to be visited from above. Let us hunger for our God and thirst for His presence again.
