People who turn their eyes to God and listen have a powerful story of our human race to contemplate. He has gone to great lengths to show us that more is happening in and around us than meets the eye. Our story is one of tragedy, suspense, and hope.
The tragedy is that we once held a privileged position in the presence of God. That was how things were intended. We should have gone on reveling in a higher and sweeter communion with the Divine. But we are wayward. We look to ourselves, our world, and unto less worthy influences. So, we gave up our rightful inheritance. We can´t blame anyone long ago because we still do it today. Yet the Lord has His plan. Suspense rules as long as we stand to choose what to do with our souls. Hope came as the Son. He sacrificed His seat in glory, infinite power, and life itself to give us our hope.
That brings us to the thrilling end of our dilemma. But it is more a beginning than an end. The ones who don´t choose what the rest of the world chases can bow before Him again. We can come unto the Savior. We can find His presence as our home. Those precious ones will find their souls set free. They have escaped. Praise the Lord! He will have His fledglings! He will gather them under His wings forever!
