We know it is pointless to worry about things that are in God´s hands. But we do it every day. We charge off every morning to enter the day´s frantic rush. Often, we stay late finishing up or getting a little further because tomorrow will also be busy. Our entire societies run at this accelerated pace. We get caught up in it. The stress and strain can keep us up at night. Who stops to wonder if God wanted it to be this way?
A healthy study of the Word of God would reward us with a different outlook. God wants our attention elsewhere. He would rather have us looking to Him. He gave us His Son to focus our sights on. While the world spins increasingly out of control, the call is to look above. Will we be one of those who do?
All the many promises held within the Scriptures could be ours if we can get our priorities right. The Lord will wrap His mighty, protective arms around us for good. The childlike, trusting children who sense their need to be with Him will be His forever. Let us run to Him regardless of the bustle around us now.
