The God of Everywhere

God is everywhere. He is here right now. His Spirit is closer than our skin. He is above all. But the Lord sees all. He knows every thought and hears every imagined whisper. There is no conceivable place where the presence of God cannot enter. We, on the other hand, are full of limitations. We fail to see Him. His presence goes unnoticed nearly all the time. When we wonder where God is, it is a sign of our poor powers of perception. It is never an insufficiency of God.

Modern thought has tried to make us think that it is difficult or impossible to encounter God. It is a lie. All that is evil wants us to believe that. Yet nothing could be further from the truth. All things made are His creation. Everything we see belongs to Him, even the places. Everywhere belongs to the Lord too. So anywhere we go, even in the uttermost parts of the sea, it is His hands that hold us. If God is the God of everywhere, we could start expecting to find Him there. Pray that we will seek the Lord until we are singing His praises along with the Psalmists.
