How to Belong to God

Christians can easily overlook an important truth. We get so caught up in what we believe in that we lose sight of Who we believe in. We get carried away with being Christian, thinking, and acting right. In the end, we are following the crowd.

Any crowd that is not a bunch of individuals striving to be near our Savior is merely a crowd. We can call ourselves by Christ´s name and use it a lot. But we do God no honor unless we are walking with Him.

To walk with Jesus means to be with Him. To be with the Lord means to seek Him daily. That does not mean setting time to pray, read, or meditate. It means using all those ways to place us in a two-way relationship. Should it ever feel one-sided, further change is needed.

Pray that we get with our Savior. Drop it all: the busy schedules, high notions, and even convenient texts. Press hard after our Lord until we are enjoying His presence and power. Then, when we are with God, we will be His.
