Down on Bended Knee

When knocked down, fall to the knees. There is no safer place on earth to be!

Life has a way of hitting us hard. Nearly everyone alive has felt it. When it happens, it feels like the world is falling apart. We fall. When we do, it feels like the weight of the world is upon us. Yet it doesn´t have to mean that all is lost. If under the weight, we fall to our knees and turn to God, there will be a silver lining.

Something magical happens when God´s children turn to Him. It does not mean that all the bad in the world will suddenly be swept away. But it places the humble soul under the care of the Lord. It turns our attention from our self-pity and our grief. For the time we spend looking to our benevolent Father, it is not our strength that counts. It is God´s strength.

So, when we feel down, drop on bended knee. There in the presence of the Almighty, all things bow to His power and not the law of our land. Put our troubled hearts in the capable hands of our Savior, and let God determine what the outcome will be.

Read Hebrews 4:16.

6. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. 7. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB)
