Learning to Wait on God

An essential aspect of our faith is learning to wait on the Lord.

We may only take a few steps toward the Lord before discovering He works to a different time clock. His timing and ours are not the same. He sees with perfect clarity and works to a separate agenda from ours. But, if we are serious about following our Savior, He will lead us into His will.

It will take more faith and patience than we possess. We will need to become experts in turning to Him in prayer. But these are the bonds that tie us to our God. The more we strengthen these facets, the closer our relationship grows. And, the closer we walk with our Lord, the more He can demonstrate His presence in our lives.

Dear Lord,Help us roll up our sleeves and get down to work. We would come closer to You so Your will is done in our lives. Please see our feeble efforts and send help from above. Give us perseverance, faith, and strength to press closer to You. Teach us the fine arts of waiting on You and trusting You. Bring us the outcome that is best for You. Throughout this process, strengthen our relationship, we pray. Amen

but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31 (WEB)

Read Psalm 130, and

For from of old men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, nor has the eye seen a God besides you, who works for him who waits for him.  Isaiah 64:4 (WEB)
