A comfortable feeling that lets us sit back and stop pressing closer to God can come to anyone. But it is a deadly trick to rob us of finding more of His presence in our day. Every sincere believer should be aware of this deception. We should guard ourselves like soldiers watching for the imminent enemy attack.
We never know when the danger will creep up. So, we must remain alert. The deceiver is the best the world has seen at what he does. Most will never know what overtook them until it is too late.
Our hearts were bought at a heavy price. Our Lord and King, was beaten and pierced to open the doors for us to be with God. Let nothing in Heaven or Earth steal our chance to come unto the Father.
Dear Lord,
What we have tasted of You makes us yearn for more. But never let us lose this desire for more lest we stop seeking for it. Grant us perseverance in our journey closer to You, and let us take steps closer each day. Sound the alarms if ever we find we could have more of Your presence, but we don´t.
