The Attention of Our Hearts

While the world rushes after all that it does, a few quietly turn and look to the Lord. Even the churches make much of many issues. Still, some turn and seek their Savior. While the rest are talking about those things that are so vital to them, those poor souls press nearer to God.

These are the burning-hearted. Not even debates on beliefs will entice them from seeking God´s presence. They refuse to let their attention stray from the One they worship.

The One they love has the entire focus of their hearts. Their simple faith is to be admired. They are the enraptured ones. They have their God. They will enjoy His presence now in part. But they will have what their heart desires forever. They will only give their attention and that of their heart to God. May we be like them!

Dear Lord, You give the gifts of Your love to those who seek You. Now, it falls to us. What will we seek today? Let our hearts arise and say, “Fill our vision. Be our focus today!” Grant us awareness of Your presence. And let us bask in it always! Amen

I will give them a heart to know me, that I am Yahweh. They will be my people, and I will be their God; for they will return to me with their whole heart.  Jerehiah 24:7
