The Constant Awareness of God

We all may experience moments where God´s presence is felt. We may be singing His praises when suddenly we realize His nearness. Or, as we are driving, we become aware of an unusually brilliant sunset, and it dawns on us that He is there. These moments are precious and thrilling. Yet as our walk with the Lord increases, we may ascend into a more constant level of awareness.

God has never left us for a moment in all the history of our race. But we learn in moments of enlightenment that we do not have to wait to experience times with Him. If He is with us now, what is missing is for us to be with Him. Direct more of our attention to Him and trust that fact that goes deeper than nature itself. God is with us, and we can be with Him. Practice walking with Him. Lean on Him where our faith fails. We can walk intimately with the Lord every moment of every day!

Dear Lord, Heighten our awareness. Strengthen our love and need to be with You. Make Your presence our chosen place to be right now and always. Give us the determination to boldly seek You with us until our lives radiate with You – we pray. Amen
