Everyone experiences times when life seems dull and tedious. We find ourselves going through the motions and getting nowhere. It is painful and depressing. Yet these moments can serve to bring us to something better.
We do not need to understand why we must suffer. We don´t have to have our troubles removed immediately. All we need is hope. These struggles might prompt us to seek something better. If they make us turn to God, they might have saved our souls.
By shifting our gaze from us to God, we bring His limitlessness into play. The moment we stop trying everything else on our own we might even start walking with the Divine. A soul turned to God is a heart melted into His. A connection is made that places our lives within the embrace of the Almighty. No matter how dreary from our perspective, God sees the endless possibilities.
Dear Lord, Let the struggles and tediousness drive us to seek You. Life weighs us to the point where we need You. Open our eyes to see Your outstretched arms. Touch us with awareness and help us see how close You are. If we are with You, nothing can stay wrong for long. Teach us to edge in closer and focus on You, we pray. Amen
