Walking in The Way

We can talk about The Way and say we have found Him. But our walk changes forever when we begin to walk only in The Way.

It comes with being a Christian. We give ourselves over to belief in Christ and trust that our lives are in good hands. But our faith is only just beginning. And the rest of our time on earth will be under severe enemy attack. Dark forces will hurl every devious trick at us to steal our chances of ending up at the Lord´s table. We need to keep the dangers in mind. We must seek help to guide and protect us through every threat we cannot see coming.

This is where we follow Christ. He sought His Father always. He walked here among men. But His heart was with God, and He never did anything on His own. He kept engaged with the Divine at all times. If we want to follow Him, we will settle for nothing less.

We do ourselves no favors when we pretend that we know how to walk and take steps on our own. Many Christians think they are doing a good job because their steps follow an acceptable norm. But any step not taken with our Lord is a step without Him. It is a step in the wrong direction. Let´s make each step take us closer. Then, never let us take another step without open communication with the Spirit of God.

Dear Lord, we no longer want our faith to be in things we say or do. We want to walk with our Lord and Savior. Give us such an intimate walk with You that we can sense Your presence with us always. Should there come a moment when we realize we are not right where You are, let us stop and seek You in earnest. In Your name, we pray. Amen

He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does Yahweh require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?  Micah 6:8 (WEB)

You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forever more.  Psalm 16:11 (WEB)
