God Can Use Even Imperfect Souls

Nobody was perfect when God called them. But those who choose to press close to Christ can be transformed into pillars of faith that inspire those around them.

God can work wonders in any believer´s life. All we have to do is look at the lives of the men and women of God who passed their faith on to us. Look at Peter, Paul, or anyone else, and we will see where they fell short at times. The point is not in the level of righteousness we have previously attained. Our potential lies in how much of the Spirit of God can flow in and through us. The more of our Lord we let into our souls, the more His presence and power will pour out.

Dear Lord, Pour Your Spirit upon us. Afflict us with desire after You. We are imperfect and wayward. But with Your presence in our day and our lives, we could inspire others too. We could walk on water. We could ease the suffering of someone else. We could point hearts to You. All we need is to grow so close to You that people see You in us. Be with us now; we pray. Amen

33. But Peter answered him, “Even if all will be made to stumble because of you, I will never be made to stumble.” 34. Jesus said to him, “Most certainly I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”.  Matthew 26:33-34 (WEB)

I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18 (WEB)
