Our Limited Sight

There is much more going on in our lives than can be seen with the eye. But exploring those wonders is for those who dare to turn to God.

What you see is what you get is a popular statement on earth. But in the light of God´s great plan, it is feeble. It is like attempting to search out the wonders of our existence by shining a torch into the heavens.

What we see with our eyes and live through on earth is only a part of what is going on. The spiritual side of our existence that we do not see is what determines every outcome. It is the greatest deception mankind has bought into to think otherwise. Only those who choose to look to God for His guidance will ever understand. Yet, if we could have our hearts, our eyes, and our ears opened, then we would learn wonders untold.

Turn to the Lord. Learn of Him. Sell what we had before. Purchase a new life, not with money, but by buying into His grace. Get to know the Savior. Leave our former ways of thinking. Start straining to see with spiritual eyes into the mysteries of God. Pray for ears that hear whispers from above that the rest care not to hear. Ask the Divine to flood us with His Spirit from on high. When we become teachable, our world will never be the same again.

Dear Lord, take our limited imagination and understanding away. Burst into our scene and blow us away with new awareness of You and Your presence. As we begin to see and hear, let Your Spirit teach us Your wonders. May we be changed by what we learn as we come to know You, we pray. Amen

A must read: Hebrews 12:18-29.

8. There is no one like You among the gods, O Lord, nor are there any works like Yours. 9. All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, and they shall glorify Your name. 10. For You are great and do wondrous deeds; You alone are God. Psalm 86:8-10 (WEB)

For my hand has made all these things, and so all these things came to be,” says Yahweh: “but I will look to this man, even to he who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and who trembles at my word. Isaiah 66:2 (WEB)
