Don´t Let the Voice of Prophecy Go Silent

Pray that the voice of prophecy does not grow silent in our day. We are all lost without it.

Some say that there are no longer any prophets. They say the apostles, who walked with Jesus, were the last. It is sad to consider that people have given up so easily and so soon.

We must be careful of false prophets; it´s true. When we hear “Look, here is Christ,”(Matthew 24:23-28) we don´t have to run after them. But that does not mean that the Holy Spirit cannot speak in our day and age. In fact, without God´s pertinent instructions to us today, no one will make it into His Kingdom. We need the Holy Spirit more than ever to guide us past all the false doctrines and worldliness of our times.

So, let the scribes dig up all they can learn from the past. But pray to God that He anoints some with the gifts of the Spirit. Pray for servants who will seek Him with the full intention of encountering Him. Then, let the fires within us all kindle and spark to a fuller life. Ask the Lord to send His Spirit to prepare us for what is yet to come!

Dear Lord, the voices from the past grow fainter, and our complex world tries to snuffle our faith. Please pour Your Spirit into Your servants again. Let the young and the old prophesy again and reignite the flames within. Remind us of Your coming Kingdom and reserve for You, a remnant of expectant worshippers. Let us hear from You in our day, we pray. Amen

Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:38 (WEB)

16. But this is what has been spoken through the prophet Joel: 17.‘It will be in the last days, says God, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh. Your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions. Your old men will dream dreams. 18. Yes, and on my servants and on my handmaidens in those days, I will pour out my Spirit, and they will prophesy.
