Improvement for Christians

Christians are people concerned about improving themselves. But that should mean each step brings us closer to God.

Nowhere in the Bible will you find encouragement for people to stop trying to improve. The Scriptures speak to people who want to. You can find commandments, stories, and prophecies, all intended to help us. Yet there is one clear outcome to this underlying need to improve. It is not to better us in our world or with other people. The improvements we are to make are in our relationship with God.

So, let our souls get into the task. Take up the challenge and accept the desire with all our hearts. We can make it our goal today to improve. Only let our determined efforts be into making the bonds between God and us strong. Open the channels of communication. Step closer with every effort. Gain ground each day. Let every morning, noon, and night be full of promise. Improvement for us will bring greater awareness and more of God´s presence into our lives.

Dear Lord, help us become experts in improving. Make us better with every step. Just let us take each step with You. And, let every step bring us closer in our relationship with You. When our day brings more of You then we are making progress. So give the word and Your angels, time, and the universe can all help us with our goal. But keep our goal clear to us. Be the desire of our heart and the Prize that we shoot for. Amen
