The Tediousness of Life

When life has lost its flavor and weighs down on us, we need a reason to press on. The open arms of God are the only repayment worth the effort.

Theories abound that answer life´s most important questions. When our going gets tough, and it does at times, we start to wonder. But there is only one thought that can repay humans for their lives of struggle. His name is the Lord. God has tried throughout the ages to call us unto Him. Puny man, can hurl his stones of mistrust. Yet those mighty arms remain open for a few to turn and seek Him again.

All through the centuries, there have been accounts recorded. People like us came up against what they were going to do with God. Those who were able to accept our limitations embraced God´s grace. They came to an awareness that the rest failed to see. Mortals like us walked and talked with God. A gap of immeasurable size and distance vanished. The struggles that overwhelmed those individuals disappeared in an instant. Eternal strength, replaced our limitations. And hope now comes to us.

God´s carefully orchestrated plan to save those who care still unfolds today. Arms that encompass the limitless expanses of space and time wait for us. A precious few would fill their hearts with His invitation of love. For them, God reserves the treasures of knowing Him. He longs to wipe away our tears and open our eyes. When we learn to detect the nearness and depth of the Spirit, the discoveries begin to unfold. Oh, what waits for those who will look up!

Dear Father in Heaven, pour out Your Spirit upon us. Let our invisible Guide lead us into a wualk with You. Let the price You paid cover us and permit mortals to mingle with the Divine. Send hope into these lives of struggle and despair. Remind us of the joy that awaits those who choose You. When our troubles are over, let us know that if we walked on earth with the Maker and Redeemer, our walk will continue. We will be forever with the One who loved us first. Thank You. Amen

John 14:1-3 ESV / “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

2 Peter 1:4  ESV / By which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire.

Romans 8:14-17 ESV / For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.
