A Moment in God´s Presence

One moment in the presence of God is more satisfying than a lifetime of lesser thrills.

A person who has experienced God´s presence for themselves is a marked person. Something marvelous happened to them. How they got there was both a blessing and a mystery. But somehow, the Lord saw something special in their hearts. So, He moved. God stirred in unseen ways. Awareness of His presence swept over the humble believer. They were changed in an instant. Never again will they be able to look at life as they did before. The Divine blessed them with Himself. He let them know how close He is and how much He truly cares. Have we been there?

There in that fleeting moment, with hearts racing and souls overflowing, one cannot take it all in. God is too immense. He is too breathtaking. Yet one can do nothing but try to embrace the sensations that overwhelm. No greater thrill is available to mankind. The mortal meets the Immortal. God comes to visit us. There is nothing higher to which we could esteem. And still, each child of the Kingdom will strive their whole lives for nothing less.

So if we find it in our hearts to come before the Lord, we are a special breed. Call yourselves a peculiar nation. The world will laugh us off. They will put us down. That´s okay. They will chase their dreams, and we will chase ours. Only let us cling to the hope of one great coming day. Pray for the moment when all is peeled back and we are led into God´s presence forever. Until then, let us cherish every moment we can sense Him near us here!

.Dear Heavenly Father, let our hope and desire after You tip the scales. Give the word from on high and it will happen to us. Show us how near You truly are to us. Move. Stir again. Break down the barriers that keep us from experiencing You. Shine inside our hearts. Let the awareness of Your immediate presence come to us today. Give us moments with You that will prepare us for an eternity with You there. Amen

John 18:6ESV / When Jesus said to them, “I am he,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

Exodus 3:1-6

Isaiah 6:1-5

Luke 5:8

1 Kings 19:11-13

There are so many texts that talk of people realizing God was moving. Many people had their moment in His presence. Instead of texts to prove. May we suggest each believer go to their Bible to look for Him? In that way, we prepare our hearts for our own reunion of soul and spirit.
