When Jesus began to teach, His message cut straight through formal religion. It brought each person to consider where they stand before God. Not only did Jesus´ words burn inside, but amazing things happened. He touched people and diseases left them. Around Christ, God´s miraculous power was visible even to the humblest of souls.
In the realms where God dwells, time has not changed. Nowadays religion can mean many different things. It even varies from person to person. It has lost its sense of wonder. We need miraculous healing, signs, and wonders. We need to witness again the power and presence of God. If we don´t, we are in worse condition and need the Savior even more.
It is high time that we lift our eyes above the opinions and wisdom of the world. Look for the Wonder that bows to no limiting factor. Let us search for the One who designed our universe and keeps it turning in working order. Prepare these hearts to be amazed. Ready ourselves for the bewilderment that will surely overwhelm us. When our awareness is heightened we will come to know our God. When we stand in the presence of the Divine, our old religions will seem too small for Him
Dear Lord, we have heard of the wonders of You. Please let us come closer to You and be amazed. We cannot miss out. You do not have to be walking by a lakeshore in Palestine or confined to a temple, because You are alive and calling to us. Let us set ourselves to the blessed task of seeking, and the greater reward still, of finding You. Blow us away with Your presence we pray. Amen
