Every one of us must live through some darker days. They hurt. But we do not have to suffer them alone. God is near. The warm embrace of God is a haven like none other. Close to the heart of our Savior, we are finally safe. No threat can overcome the strength of the Almighty. If the pain is more severe, all it takes is to snuggle closer. If the danger is more threatening, dive deeper into God´s arms. Not even death can snatch us from our Father´s care.
Dark times will come. We have been told. But the promises are many. The testimonies are even more. Many have experienced the presence or movement of God. They will gladly share the wonders they encountered. The Divine is too wonderful to explain. Each person must discover it for themselves. But close to Him, peace, assurance, and love overflow. Take nobody´s word for it. We must see for ourselves.
Dear Lord, when things are too much for us in life, let us come seeking You. Draw us near. Hold us in Your mighty embrace. Show us through experience that all things are in Your capable hands. Even our pains, sorrows, and dangers are no match for You. When we finally sense Your limitless power and grace, we will know. There is no place safer than being close to You! Thank You! Amen
