Why Choose God?

In God´s eyes, the reasons behind our actions and thoughts determine everything. If we have found it in our hearts to turn to God, we cannot afford to turn our gesture into something less. We should approach the Lord to enjoy His presence. We should come to get to know Him. We should enter a relationship with Christ because these hearts soar when we are near Him. If we come to religion because someone told us it was the thing to do, we may never know these loftier thrills.

Dear Lord, we perceive Your call to come unto You. But please, make our response something worthy of You. Let us come as children. Let the spirit within us reach for You with all we have got. Help us to yearn for You for nothing short of being where You are. We want to know the wonders of who You are. We would experience You. Draw us, lift us, and make us people of Your heart. We will be Yours, and You will be ours. In Your name, we pray! Amen!

Micah 6:6-8  ESV / “With what shall I come before the Lord, and bow myself before God on high? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?” He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

Amos 5:21-24  ESV / “I hate, I despise your feasts, and I take no delight in your solemn assemblies. Even though you offer me your burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them; and the peace offerings of your fattened animals, I will not look upon them. Take away from me the noise of your songs; to the melody of your harps I will not listen. But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.
