Knowing God is Near

God holds wisdom and power we cannot fathom. Yet still, the Lord turns His attention to us, His children. We can turn from our ways and look to Him. When we do, we realize He has never been far from any of us. The new position we find ourselves in is most powerful. All of God’s wisdom, grace, and strength can lift us. It can draw us close to Him forever.

Those who walk through this life knowing God is by their side see things differently. They have confidence that others will not know. They draw from His wisdom. They stand by His strength. God, who is larger than life, walks and talks with them each day. We did not invent God by believing in Him. He was here first. And He called us unto Him.

So let us pray for awareness. Let us strive to wake up and find that the Lord is here. With the loving, all-powerful God close to us, we can weather this life and the next. Every step we take with the King of Kings will be a pleasure and a reward

Dear Lord, please heighten our awareness until we sense Your presence. When we realize you are here and with us in our moment, we will not look at life like we did before. Once, we walked on our own. But now, we step where You lead and lean on You for our wisdom and strength. Let us cling to Your presence and never leave Your side. We pray. Amen
