Now and then, religion sinks deep enough within an individual. It ignites something in the soul that begins to glow. That tiny spark spreads deep in the soul until it consumes the believer. It becomes a raging fire to know and be with our Savior.
These peculiar people might not be the popular ones that draw attention in our churches. They could go mostly unnoticed, as they are not jostling for the position. They have snuck off to find a place and moment to be alone with God.
Yet there is something beautiful about these humble souls. They habitually choose to walk and talk with God, even if the world around them has other agendas. They get their purpose and pleasure from the Spirit´s presence. Without it, they are lost. But when they are with their God, they walk with their feet in the clouds!
Dear Lord, even if we can only have a moment in Your presence, let us experience it. Let the seeds sown get deep enough within us to move us to drive hard after You. Part the heavens and let us come near. If we can make it to Your side, our entire outlook will change. We will change. We can start to beat to Your heart, love with Your love, and think with Your thoughts. Help us see and come to You we pray. Amen
