A discussion sprang up on a social media page over a religious dilemma. Highly intelligent and educated Christians each had their go at explaining predestination. The debate brought up some interesting thoughts. The question was about whether salvation depends on our choice or God´s. From the numerous texts quoted, it was clear that each knew their Bible inside and out. Still, the people elaborated their arguments. They tried to help us overcome an important hurdle in our faith. Why would God put so much emphasis on us choosing Him, if He has already determined who can or will come?
Every soul will choose either God´s will or our own. We will think as the world thinks, or seek God for His take on it all. There are many texts in the Scriptures that clearly place our faith in the hands of the Eternal One. A simple search online will repay the hungry ones.

So, while the finer minds dig into the deeper workings or try to work out the complications, let us turn to God. In choosing to take our hearts directly to Him, we step beyond the debate. There is so much still to learn of our God. There are so many wonders still to be marveled at. And, there are millions of joys to be lived out with our Lord. Let us take advantage of our time and revel in the relationship we can enjoy with our Savior today. That way, tomorrow will be in His good hands!
Dear Lord, give us wisdom for the things we must understand to choose our way through this life. More than navigating each day, help each step draw us closer to You. If there is any way to lean further on You, give us faith to achieve it. Whatever You share with us, let us feel a sense of wonder and awe. Our God is the God of wonders. We will forever be amazed by all we find in You. Amen
