Everything begins with God, the Creator. Then it plays out in our known universe in His intended ways. In the end, it returns to lift higher still the name of the One who created and sustains it. We are included in this cycle and can choose to work toward heaven´s goals, or not. We can bring pleasure and honor to our Lord if we listen. He asks us to look away from ourselves and direct all our attention towards Him. When we do, we see miraculous things.
Jesus healed a woman who had suffered an illness for ages. Then the Son of God shows up at a funeral service and tells the people He is here now. There was no need to continue mourning. But the people begin to make fun of Him. However harsh it might seem, we do it too. When we weigh our current situation and fail to trust in Christ´s power to alter what we see, we laugh at God as well.
What looks like a funeral to us can actually be a miracle moment for God. Lives can be altered in an instant. Souls can be saved. The Lord is far bigger than what we see. He is forever working at higher levels. Our troubles are always much bigger when we take our focus off of God. But looking to Jesus can clear our vision. The spiritual value each moment holds finds its potential. We can also see amazing things today. So pray that we do not laugh it off.
Dear Jesus, only our lack of faith prevents You from working wonders. Open the eyes of our souls so we can marvel at You. You are bigger than our reality and you control it completely. Do not let us settle for what we see from where we are. But clear our vision and bolster our faith as we step closer. Fill us with the kind of faith that releases Your power to heal, save, and amaze. Blow us away with the miracles You perform today. Amen
