Small children need to learn how to control selfishness. Selflessness can only come by repressing one´s natural desires. But we have a great example. His name is Jesus. Christ lived to glorify God first and save others. He was not here to put Himself before anyone else. And if we want to learn to be like Him, we will need to follow Him. Let us grow so close to our Savior that His nature begins to radiate from us.
Dear Lord, walk us personally step by step, closer to You. Be with us, and help us to be with You. The more time we spend with You, the more we can learn to be like You. Teach us to think first of God. Let the spiritual health of others become more important than selfish gain. Amen
