Making a Connection

We must seek to make a constant connection with God, or our faith in Him is too small.

We can profess devotion to God all our lives and never really attempt to enter His presence. But that failure excludes us from all the benefits we imagine we have attained. The Almighty Righteous God sits above and beyond our powers to see Him. Yet His heart has always been open to those who strain with all they have to approach Him. A simple-hearted child prays to Jesus, their familiar Friend. And in their innocence, He is right there with them. We must get to the point that every prayer, every song, and every thought is made with His presence in mind. Pray that the one thing we get good at is placing ourselves in His presence. Seek connection and engage with the Lord all through our day!

Dear Lord, You are the Master-Builder. Make our faith big enough to enter Your presence. Let there be a conscience awareness of You here and now. Wash over us with the realization of Your limitless immensity. Thrill us with Your immediate nearness until it leaves us undone. Then, when we have trembled before Your throne, instill within us a hunger to return. Let it be our mission today, every day, to make it back into Your presence. Then let us seek to remain with You always. We pray in Jesus´ name. Amen
