It is common knowledge that things hard earned bring greater satisfaction once attained. When we labor and strain to gain the prize, it is worth more than something that we didn´t wait or work for. Reaching the presence of God is like that as well. If someone says that we already have heaven won, we could miss out on some satisfaction God wants us to have. We could be tempted into relaxing our drive. If we are serious about reaching the presence of the Lord, let us train, strain, and yearn for it now.
Dear Lord, please find the kind of hearts in us You are looking for. Find in us, people who will put You first. Give us a yearning to be with You that drives us to seek You day and night. Let us feel the discomfort in any distance between You and us. So much so, that we push ourselves to work on our relationship. Wherever You are, that, is where we want to be! Amen
